Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A very helpful tech support employee deleted the Synaptics Touchpad app from my computer, along with the ps/2 compatable mouse driver software.

I would like to know how to reinstall this program on my computer, as this app is what was disabling the tap to type "feature" that drives me insane.

I have tried installing every version of synaptics driver software available for my device on the HP website, but none have worked. They either had no effect, or I got an error message telling me that a more recent driver was already installed.

@samsonbishop

Please download and install Synaptics Touchpad software

   https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp91501-92000/sp91721.exe

For the ps/2 compatible mouse driver software, it should come with Windows. You can do a clean install Windows 10 (and keep your programs and data) if you wish.

Regards.
