OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 (755G1AV)

Hi.

I am tyring to connect HP Laptop to external monitor Samsugn ultrawide G8 34" but i am unable to do so.

i have tried connecting via Micro HDMI to HDMI Cable and Usb-C cable but to no avail.

I am starting to think that it is due to hardware but that should not be the case.

Any help would be appreciated.

The specs of your machine is

            https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/ish_7968187-7968239-16

It has following ports for external monitors

  • (2) Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB Type-C® 40 Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) ports
  • (1) HDMI 2.1 output port

For Thunderbolt™ 4 port, please use the following table

More info:   https://www.datapro.net/techinfo/thunderbolt_info.html

For HDMI 2.1 : Please check   https://www.displayninja.com/what-is-hdmi-2-1/

Please use the right cable which comes with the monitor and try lower refresh rates first

Regards.
