Hi @PY15,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like a frustrating situation. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot your HP laptop that won’t turn on:

1. Check Power Source

  • Ensure the charger is working by testing it with another device, if possible.
  • Try using a different power outlet to rule out outlet issues.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery (if you removed it) and plug the charger back in, then try turning it on.

3. Check for Display Issues

  • Sometimes, the laptop powers on, but the display doesn’t work. Try connecting it to an external monitor to see if you get any display there.

4. Remove External Devices

  • Disconnect all peripherals (USB devices, external mouse, etc.) and try turning it on again.

5. Listen for Sounds or Lights

  • Pay attention to any sounds (like fans spinning or beeps) or lights (like keyboard backlighting) when you press the power button. This can help indicate whether the laptop is receiving power or trying to start.

If the issue persists, It must be a hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
