Hp victus hinge broken no warranty

The hinges to my HP victus laptop are broken. They just randomly snapped. I’ve had this computer for two years and am out of warranty. I wasn’t expecting to have this happen on an $800 dollar computer after only two years. The computer now looks old and is basically unfixable. From what I’m at reading HP knows this is an issue with their computer yet does nothing to fix it. This is unacceptable.
