I just purchased this pc on e-bay and it had a fresh win10 install - I installed the synaptics driver from the HP web site, but the touchpad is not recognzed

I found the problem  - Microsoft store had installed SSd and installed Win !0 on laptop - but they did not connect the touchpad cable correctly - I opened the laptop & fixed the cable and everything works fine now.

Please try installing this driver : http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_151122_1&swEnvOid=4192#tab3

 

Then retry installing synaptics drivers if the issue persists.
