I need advice on how to get the HP ProDisplay P19A LED Backlit Monitor to work with my laptop

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello community.  I need help or advice on getting my HP ProDisplay P19A Led Backlit Monitor to work with my HP laptop(wireless connection.).  The VGA monitor cable  does not connect to my laptop.  I purchased the Monitor because it stated in the the description that the monitor  worked with laptops.  When I attempted to  install the HP Display Installer I get the error: No INF files found.  Community can you please advise me on what I need to do or should I return this monitor as the VGA monitor cable does not connect to my HP Laptop.  Thanks

@lbg1133

It is an old monitor, very old, its specs

It ONLY supports VGA connection. Yes, it works with laptops but we are talking a 10 years old laptops here because the monitor only gives 1280 x 1024 (60 Hz) analog  max.

How old is your laptop ? What is it ?

How much did you pay for the monitor ? Probably you have to buy some sorts of adapter to convert from digital to analog and the total cost of adapter + the cost of the useless monitor would be higher the cost of a new monitor today and you do not have to use a very low specs monitor.

Now, your choice.

Regards.
