HP ENVY
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I shattered the glass of the touchscreen of my HP ENVY Notebook.   It was fall apart if it didn't have duct tape holding it together.  Is it worth me putting in the time and energy to try to source out a replacement for the screen and repair it myself (of course with the help of my friends.)  Or is it wiser to take it in to the shop to have them deal with it?   Also, is it worth salvaging?   Where would I begin to find a replacement touchscreen especially when HP themselves no longer carry the item in their parts department.  Thank you so much for your help and wisdom.
