Hi @chandan42,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached> indicates that the camera is not detected by your system, even though it is built-in. This could be due to hardware, driver, or software issues. Here's how to resolve it.

Verify Camera Accessibility

  • Check if your camera is covered or has a physical privacy shutter.
  • Ensure the camera is enabled (some laptops have a dedicated key or key combination, like Fn + F10 or a key with a camera icon).

Enable the Camera in Settings

  • Press Win + I to open Settings.
  • Navigate to Privacy & Security > Camera.
  • Ensure that Camera access and Let apps access your camera are turned on.

Check the Camera in Device Manager

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Imaging Devices, Cameras, or Sound, video, and game controllers.
    • Look for your camera. If it’s listed:
      • Right-click and select Enable (if disabled).
      • Right-click and select Update Driver > Search automatically for drivers.
    • If it’s missing:
      • Click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
      • If it still doesn't appear, the camera hardware might not be detected.

Reinstall the Camera Driver

  • In Device Manager, right-click your camera and select Uninstall Device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
  • If not, download the camera driver from the HP Support website.

Run the Windows Troubleshooter

  • Press Win + I to open Settings.
  • Navigate to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Run the Camera troubleshooter.

Check HP Privacy Settings

Some HP laptops come with proprietary software that manages camera access.

  • Search for HP Privacy Settings in the Start menu.
  • Ensure that the camera is enabled.

Update BIOS and Windows

  • Ensure your BIOS is up to date. Visit the HP Support website and look for BIOS updates for your laptop model.
  • Check for and install the latest Windows updates.

Test with a Third-Party Application

  • Use apps like Skype, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams to check if the camera works. If it works in these apps but not in others, the issue may be app-specific.

Perform a System Reset (Optional)

If the above steps don't work, resetting Windows might resolve software conflicts:

  • Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC.

Hardware Diagnosis

If none of these steps work, the issue could be hardware-related:

  • Use the HP Hardware Diagnostics Tool to test the camera.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
