Hi @CWBillow1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
For your OMEN Laptop - 17-cb1097nr, there isn't a direct keyboard shortcut for enabling or disabling Scroll Lock like there is for some other functions. However, if you need to use Scroll Lock and don't have a dedicated Scroll Lock key, you can use the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK) as you mentioned. Here’s how you can access it and use it to toggle Scroll Lock:
Accessing the On-Screen Keyboard:
Open the On-Screen Keyboard:
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type osk and press Enter or click OK.
Using the On-Screen Keyboard:
- Once the On-Screen Keyboard opens, you should see a virtual keyboard displayed on your screen.
- Click on the "Options" key (if available) on the OSK to ensure that Scroll Lock is enabled on the virtual keyboard.
- Locate the Scroll Lock key on the OSK and click it to toggle Scroll Lock on or off.
Alternative Ways to Toggle Scroll Lock:
Using External Keyboards:
- If you frequently need to use Scroll Lock, consider using an external keyboard with a dedicated Scroll Lock key.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
