All of a sudden my screen has green patches in the middle.  The screen still functions as the cursor will travel over the patches.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

@Yeo66

I reviewed your post and I understand that you see green patches on the display.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp108501-109000/sp108803.exe

Intel: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp95001-95500/sp95356.exe

Nvidia: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp99501-100000/sp99570.exe

If you continue facing the issue, then boot to BIOS (Restart the computer and keep tapping the F10 key to boot to BIOS) and check whether you are able to duplicate the issue in the BIOS screen.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi @The_Fossette

I have updated the bios and video driver as requested and the problem persists.  It is visible in the bios screen too.  I took a picture of it, see below:

and a snip of the screen

 As you can see the spots are visible on the  screen but not on the snip.  I hope that helps

@Yeo66

It looks like a hardware issue and I recommend you contact support and they will assist you with the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!
