Is an HP care pack the same as warranty, and should I buy it if my warranty expired?

Pavilion 360x
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, I had a little problem with my Pavilion for a while. It seems that the screen has been pressing a little too hard on the back part of the screen (the metal part). At first I thought nothing of it since it was just a tiny bent but recently it got quite worse. (see photos) IMG_3539.jpgIMG_3538.jpgMy warranty expired around last July so I'm thinking about buying a care pack. I'm hoping the care pack will be an option for me to send it in for repair. Is this is a good plan or should I just cut my losses and search for a new device?

Ps: This is NOT a software issue. The computer and the operating system work just fine despite the damage.
