I need to know if I can use an HP Thunderbolt 4 docking station with my HP 15-ef2xx laptop.  If so, how do I connect?  After I connect them, the docking station won't turn on.

What is your HP 15-ef2xx machine ?  It should have same ports as the following machine

 

                HP Laptop 15-ef2126wm

 

It has ONE hopeless SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port, which is NOT compatible with any USB-C docks.

If I am understanding correctly, it seems that there is no docking station that is compatible with this laptop.  Very disappointing.
