Hello!
Please tell me, the laptop 15s-fq 0021ur, the keyboard backlight does not work. Following the instructions on the site, you need to go to the BIOS, go to advanced, and check the settings there. But there is no advance in my BIOS = (And the other keys work, such as sound, brightness, and there is no backlight = (

@Marija87 Greetings from the HP Community!

I hope you know that not all keyboards have an option to use the timeout feature by design, that's only available on limited devices, that said, here's all you need to know about using the backlight of your keyboard:

Toggle backlight settings:

If your notebook computer has a backlit keyboard, press the F5 or F4 (some models) key on the keyboard to turn the light on or off. It might be necessary to press the fn (function) key at the same time.

If the backlight icon  is not on the F5 key, look for the backlit keyboard key on the row of function keys.

Good day
I have a hp15s fq0021ur laptop, according to the documentation there should be a backlight. There is also a backlight button on the keyboard, but if you press it separately or with the fn key, nothing happens = (

@Marija87 Here’s the step by step guide for you:

  1. Click the Start button, then click Run.
  2. In the Run window, next to Open, type MSCONFIG.
  3. Press the ENTER key.
  4. In the System Configuration Utility window, click the Startup tab.
  5. On the Startup tab, under Startup Item, ensure that there is a check in the HKserv checkbox.

NOTE: If HKserv is missing, reinstall the Hot-Key Utility application by Clicking here

If the above doesn't help, please create another User account as suggested earlier and try again.

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
