Hp Stream 11 Pro
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 2 HP Stream 11 Pro's, model L3Z44UT. They both have the same issue, the backlight on the LCD is not working. If I connect them to an external monitor it works fine. When I shine a bright light at the screen I can very faintly see the image.

The screen and cable are good when tried on another laptop.

I have two other HP Stream 11 Pro's that also do this, but the external monitor does not work.

I have also tried other known working  LCD cables and other Screens .  It has to be the GPU right?

Would a bad GPU make the backlight not work on a screen?

The other question is there any kind of lid closing magnet that might cause the backlight or screen to not work.

I do not have the bezel attached currently.   I have reimaged the laptops and that doesn't seem to help, have

installed new drivers also.
