HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-ch0000 IDS Base Model

The right corner of my screen is darker than the rest of it. I

CANNOT run the HP diagnostics program because every time I boot it up it fails.

Is there any solution to this?

Hello AnitaLouuu, that is going to be a physical failure and you will surely have to take it to a technical service to check the screen because it is bad.

Greetings.

Can an HP tech look at is? Any idea how much it would cost outside warranty to fix? The laptop works perfectly well despite the screen issue. And I don't wanna spend money on a new one.

Hello AnitaLouuu, the repair is quite expensive, I have been looking at how much the screen costs on an internet page that is supposed to be original and costs a lot, I leave you the link of the page although this one is for you to put, since they sell it As a spare part, I also leave you the link to the HP technical service so that they can give you a quote and finally, if any of your friends or acquaintances know about computers, they can change the screen and thus save you a lot of money, you decide what you want to do. . The page you link to is from Spain, it's just to give you an idea of how much it costs. I leave you the official HP video where it explains step by step how to change the screen of your laptop.
Greetings.
