Laptop was working fine. I plugged in an external monitor ( TV for Netflix via HDMI) after I unplugged it, the screen went completely black. I have tried hard restarts, Windows key + B, tried plugging in a TV pressing FN key + F4, removed battery and tried rebooting. The computer starts and fan is running but screen remains dark. PLEASE HELP

I understand that laptop screen is blank.
As you have stated that you have tried with external display and performed the hard reset and BIOS recovery.
The issue with LCD screen. I would suggest you contact our phone support. They will help you.
Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
