My Laptop is HP Envy X360 (15t-ed100) and it crashes immediately upon using the HP Pen (I get BSOD)
Some of the error codes I have gotten on multiple occasions when the laptop crashed because of stylus input:
KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
RESOURCE_NOT_OWNED
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Found Update list for Windows 10 Version 20H2 (64-bit)
Caveat: The only updates I see for 2021 were released earlier this year - these are likely not needed at this point. The EXCEPTION is the BIOS update. That said, READ the description before updating your BIOS. The update listed at this writing adds support for Windows 11 - the update might not be necessary at this time PLUS, as you know, BIOS updates always include an element of risk. Personal Decision.

I am using the pen provided with the laptop at the time of purchase.
Also I could not find the drivers for the pen in the given link
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP Pen Control application from Microsoft Store.
My BIOS is updated and I am running Windows 10 Enterprise Build 19043

Hi, Mallar
I also have the HP MPP 2.0 pen. My laptop crashed several times yesterday before discovering that it was the pen that caused the issue. Another person on this forum has asked the same question he never got the response.
Have you tried to find a solution to this problem yet?

We have a few HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 laptops that are crashing Windows 10 only when using the HP Active Pen G3. They have been working OK for months so I'm guessing there has been an update that's caused the problem. Couldn't find anything useful in Event Viewer or the Reliability Monitor. All updates for Windows and from HP Support Assistant have been done, but it's still crashing while using the pen. I did notice the drivers listed in Device Manager for the Pen in the Bluetooth and HID sections are both dated 2006, which seems quite old!

I have the same issue and it is critical for my business. Furthermore, similar issues are seen in the Microsoft surface community: BSOD with Message (Resource not owned) when using Pen - Microsoft Tech Community
