Laptop goes to sleep and can't be awoken

HP Recommended
Pavilion Laptop Model 14-ce0505sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop goes to sleep if left for just a couple of hours even though Sleep time is set to Never when on mains power (which it always is).

Once asleep it will not wake up no matter what I try. The only option is to hold the power button down until it turns off and then restart afresh. I have tried many ways to resolve this problem. It never used to do this. Help!

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I had already tried the fixes outlines in the link you sent me without it resolving the issue. However since posting my message I had an idea to try activating the screensaver option and this seems to stop the laptop going into a coma - it's almost like keeping the engine idling in a car!

Now it wakes up instantly when I touch any key  🙂

John
