Laptop screen has gone dark, it is very very dim.

HP Recommended
Pavilion Sleekbook 15 PC

Laptop is a Sleekbook 15, its almost been 7 years using it. Still using Windows 8 as store won't open to update to 8.1.

Screen was working absolutely fine and suddenly one day it stopped working without any prior issues. And there hasn't been any new update as well. Initially I thought the screen has gone black but its just very dim to be visible properly. HP diagnostics wont work because it needs Internet Explorer 11 and I can't upgrade to IE 11 anymore since it is not available anywhere.

 

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
