Hi @ALRICKGAMING,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A green screen issue on your HP laptop can occur due to several reasons such as display settings issues, driver problems, or hardware malfunctions. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue.
1. Check Display Connections
- External Monitor Test: If you have access to an external monitor, connect your laptop to it. This can help determine if the issue is with the laptop screen or the graphics settings.
- Cable Check: Ensure all cables (if using an external monitor) are securely connected.
2. Update Graphics Drivers
- Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Display adapters section.
- Right-click on your graphics card and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- HP Support Assistant: Use the HP Support Assistant to automatically detect and update outdated drivers.
3. Adjust Display Settings
- Display Calibration:
- Go to Settings > System > Display.
- Click on Advanced display settings and ensure the resolution is set to the recommended setting.
- Use the Color calibration tool to adjust color and check if the green tint resolves.
4. BIOS Update
- Visit the HP Support website and check if there is a newer BIOS version for your laptop model. If a new version is available, follow the instructions for updating the BIOS carefully.
5. Hardware Diagnostics
- HP PC Hardware Diagnostics: Run hardware diagnostics to check for any hardware failures.
- Restart your laptop and press F2 during startup.
- Select the System Tests tab and perform a comprehensive test to check for display issues.
6. Check for Physical Damage
- Inspect the screen for any visible damage or liquid exposure, which could lead to display problems.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
