Hi @ANM5
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP 15-e2000 touchpad isn’t working, here are some steps to troubleshoot:
1. Enable the Touchpad
- Press Fn + F7 (or another function key with a touchpad icon) to toggle it on.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad and ensure it’s enabled.
2. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop and disconnect the power adapter.
- Hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.
- Restart and check if the touchpad works.
3. Update or Reinstall the Touchpad Driver
- Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Right-click HID-compliant touchpad and select Update driver > Search automatically.
- If updating doesn’t work, uninstall the driver and restart your laptop.
4. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly.
- Select F2 > System Tests > Touchpad Test to check for hardware issues.
If none of these work, the issue might be hardware-related. Let me know what happens!
