I'm trying to match a HP Stream - 14-ax040wm notebook with
a HP Compaq LA2006x monitor.
The Monitor has a Display Port (I assume the propriotory HP Display Port), and a DVI port available.
The Monitor VGA port is being used by a Desktop PC.
The Notebook has an HDMI port (and USB ports, though I do not know if the USB ports can be used by an external monitor.)
Suggestions on how to connect the Monitor and the Notebook?
Thank you in advance.

Monitor has the following input ports: VGA (analog), DVI-D and DisplayPort w/HDCP, USB. Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c02624380
and your machine has HDMI port. The cheapest and easiest connection: HDMI - DVI-D cable

You can buy for less than $10 elsewhere.
Regards.
