HP 24 mh Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have connected my new HP 24 mh monitor to my Microsoft Surface Pro 6  using a HDMI cable connected to my tablet using a RayCue HDMI/USB connector.  Monitor turns on, but message reads "Input Signal Not Found."  I feel certain that I have made all the correct connections because message appeared on laptop screen indicating that device was being set up.  My Surface Pro only has an USB port, so I do not have the option of connecting the monitor to my tablet directly using either a HMDI or VGA cable.

Any suggestions??

RayCue HDMI/USB connector is the killer definitely it is not compatible either way. I till can't work out why you have to " using a HDMI cable connected to my tablet". Do you mean tablet is your Surface ?

Your Surface has miniDP port and your monitor has DP 1.2 and HDMI ports all you need is

 (a) a simple miniDP to DP cable or

 (b) a simple miniDP to HDMI .

There are many around for example

 (a)   https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/alogic-mini-displayport-to-displayport-cable-4k-support-male-3m

 (b)  https://www.cablechick.com.au/cables/1m-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-cable-male-to-male-thunderbolt-sock...

Regards.
