Hi @kayekai ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Pavilion X360 camera isn't working, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:
Check Camera Privacy Settings:
- Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
- Make sure Camera access is turned on for your device and for the apps you want to use it with.
Update Camera Drivers:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging Devices, right-click on your camera, and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts.
Reinstall Camera Drivers:
- In Device Manager, right-click on the camera under Imaging Devices and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update.
- Click on Check for updates and install any available updates.
Run the Windows Camera Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find Camera and click Run.
Check the Camera App:
- Ensure that you're using the correct app for accessing the camera. Try using other apps like Zoom or Skype to see if they recognize the camera.
Check Hardware Connections:HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures
- Since it's a 2-in-1, ensure the laptop is not in a position or mode where the camera might be obstructed or malfunctioning mechanically.
BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing F2, F10, or Esc during startup).
- Check if there are any settings related to the camera that might be disabled.
