Hi @JB0912,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP x360's touchscreen suddenly stopped working and the HID-compliant touchscreen option is not showing in Device Manager, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve touchscreen issues.

Update Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager (Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager).
  • Expand the "Human Interface Devices" section.
  • If you don't see a HID-compliant touchscreen, look for any entries with "Touchscreen" or "HID" in their names.
  • Right-click on the touchscreen device and select "Update driver".
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on "Check for updates" and install any available updates.
  • Restart your computer after the updates are installed.

Perform a System Restore:

  • If the issue started recently, you can try restoring your system to a previous point when the touchscreen was working.
  • Type "Create a restore point" in the Windows search bar and select the result.
  • In the System Properties window, click on "System Restore" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure that the touchscreen is not physically damaged.
  • Run hardware diagnostics provided by HP to check for any hardware issues.

Reinstall Touchscreen Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on the touchscreen device and select "Uninstall device".
  • Restart your computer and Windows should automatically reinstall the touchscreen drivers.

Check for BIOS Update:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there are any BIOS updates available for your laptop. Install them if available.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be a hardware problem with the touchscreen, and you may need to contact HP support for service options.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
