Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

While using my HP laptop model 15-f271wm the display screen went black.  I tried to find drivers to download on the HP website but searches for this model said none were available. I then configured a desktop display to the HDMI plug and found the computer could still be used with an external monitor.   I have removed the plastic outside display trim piece to find 4 screws retaining the display board.   Does anyone have a used non-working computer with a working display and would be willing to sell me the display  screen so I could fix this computer myself. Since this is only a hobby project and the computer is not essential I am unwilling to spend much to have it repaired.    I listed the model number above.  Thank You.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.  

 

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

 

You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal. 

  

Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started: 

  

1) Click on this link

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step: 

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself! 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
