My laptop display shows a pink spot(on white background)

Hi All,

From the past few days my laptop is showing a spot on left corner of the display. It shows as pink when the background is white and sometimes it looks like there is no spot at all- like for example when the background is blue or something. I am attaching the photos as well

The cursor is still visible at the back  as you can see as well. I sense it is some pixel issue and I am quite worried about it. Ideas please?

Seems like panel issue.

Do a hard reset: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01684768

See if it is there in BIOS setup?
Tap away F10 key as soon as you power on laptop to enter BIOS setup

Either you have to be in peace with it or try negotiating with HP for the defect.

Thanks visruth for the reply but it hasn't helped. Still the spot remains on the screen. Any other ideas?

Yes it is showning in BIOS as well.

Then it is display panel issue.

You've to get it replaced, other than that no solution for this.

You can contact HP and try your luck to escalate the case.
