HP Chrombook 14

Neither the camera nor mic are working on my HP chrombook 14. I bought this specifically for my kids to attended Google Classroom, and it is not working for what I need it for. It worked for 3 classes, but now if we are lucky to get the camera working it freezes after a few seconds which leaves a frozen image of my child, they also can not interact with classroom activities verbally as the mic does not work either. Super frustrating.

Does the issue appear only on certain websites?

 

Have you tested the Chromebook audio as shown in the following troubleshooting document?

Are you not certain that the web cam issue is happening because of your internet connection ? Have you done some troubleshooting with an external webcam?

Test your webcam online

Test the texting issue your kids are having by troubleshooting it temporarily with a different App, such as WhatsApp, for example.

What is the product number of the Chromebook? it should be on the bottom of the Chromebook.

No, it does not even work using the camera app. Using using the mic to ask Google does not work either.
