No compatible stylus?

I bought the HP Envy 13t-ba000 (8MX92AV) computer for my daughter for college. I paid extra for a Multitouch enabled display.  I bought MS Surface pen for her which I was told by the retailer would work but it didn't.  I used the virtual assistant to find a compatible stylus but it said no compatible stylus found.  Can this computer not use one?  I was hoping to find one that worked similar to the Apple Pencil.  I'm not familiar with all the types of pens but I can't find one to buy anyway.  Thanks in advance for any info.

Hello and welcome to the HP Support forums for notebooks. I am sad to say that I don't know of any stylus for touch screen Notebooks/Laptops. I have a touch screen Notebook myself. So far I mostly use my finger on the screen. I am sure that if you wait long enough someone a bit more knowledgeable on this will come in . Thank you and have a good day.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

After reading your post, I did go through the product description of your product and found that your computer model is not supported. If your computer features a touch screen, it is still compatible with a passive stylus. Passive styluses do not require batteries, do not have any configurable options, and do not use specific pen software.
