My HP Pavilion dv2500 with nvidia card is dead. When I turn it on, the display stays blank... nothing really... not even a faint image. The lights on the laptop shows up, including the HDD activity light... but they all just stay on. I don't hear the OS booting. I connected the laptop to an external display and still no luck. What could be the issue? I don't know exactly what nvidia I have... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No Display on external monitor either I would say failed Mother Board if the graphics card is shared it would be cheaper to buy a new PC than replace the Motherboard. You can also try to reseat the HDD Drive and Memory Modules. If that fails it would be a Failed MB
