Hello.

My computer recently crashed died and the technician I took it too said he had to reinstall the BIOS and change my Hard Drive.

With the Hard Drive gone, I also lost my recovery partition, so I had to install another Windows 7.

With the fresh install all it said was that the Display adapters where Generic VGA devices, I installed all the graphics update from HP but it still say Generic VGA.

I only managed to get it to display my Graphic cards when installing the Drivers fro AMD.

The thing is that the Display adapter now shows a Yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark and when turning on the computer it says there are no AMD drivers installed or they are not correctly installed, I have reinstalled the drivers a couple of times and I always get the same error.

When trying to start a game it says there are no OpenGL drivers, I was able to play this game with no problems before the crash.

When I try to update the drivers from Windows Update, it downloads drivers for another HP Radeon card, and when I restart the computer obviously crashes.

On the other hand, the laptop says my current BIOS version is .12, and there is a version .21 in the HP website, but when triying to install the .21 update, the installation program says my current version is higher than the one i'm trying to install.

Don't know if this two problems are related,

Hope you can help me, because I can't take the laptop to the same technician for warranty because we had a pretty heated discussion and can't take it to a new one because I'm broke!
