Asking before experimenting, 'cause so many of you've done experiments.
Mine is an old 64 bit notebook workhorse which I maintain updated and tried to keep at speed with maximized memory, Win10, 500GB SDD, 5GHz WiFi adapter (USB 3), and everything works fine.
I have these 2 beautiful Dell monitors with DP and HDMI.
When I connect one to the Notebook's HDMI it's quickly recognized and can extend without issues.
To try and use both I got an HDMI to USB-C adapter for use with a Dell hub. The adapter works and data can be used from the USB-C connection, but no video from the hub.
Tried a USB-C to HDMI extender connected to mentioned adapter and, for a hopeful moment, it tried mirroring on both monitors, but the images went a bit crazy and never stabilized. Tried various ways with these, but nothing.
So, seeing how quickly a direct connection to the HDMI works, if the monitors were connected with an HDMI-Y cable, could the notebook recognize and extend?
