Hey, Im having an issue with my Omnibook, wondering if anyone else is too - I got it about a month ago and got BSOD multiple times, along with intermittent grey screen flicker. The flicker seems to happen when moving from one page or app to the next and lasts anything from 2 - 10 seconds. I immediately went back to the store and they swapped the lpatop for another one. Got the new one about a week later but after a few days the same flicker is happening. (No BSOD thankfully...) It seems then that this is something that is happening with the omnibooks, not just a one off. Anyone had this? Is there a fix? Should I be worried??
Thanks!

I’m here to help you troubleshoot and hopefully resolve it.
Recommended Steps to Resolve
Update Graphics Drivers
Outdated or buggy drivers are a common cause of screen flickering.
- Go to Device Manager → Display adapters → Right-click your GPU (Intel/AMD) → Update driver.
- Alternatively, download the latest drivers directly from HP: Official HP® Support
Run HP Support Assistant
This tool can automatically detect and fix many issues.
- Download or open it from: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Run a full system check and install all recommended updates.
BIOS and Firmware Update
Sometimes flickering is tied to firmware bugs.
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your product
- Download and install the latest BIOS and firmware updates.
Check for Windows Updates
Make sure your system is fully updated:
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates
Disable Hardware Acceleration (Temporary Fix)
Some apps (like browsers) can trigger flickering.
- In Chrome/Edge: Go to Settings → System → Turn off "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Perform a Clean Boot
To rule out software conflicts:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, go to Services tab → check Hide all Microsoft services → click Disable all
- Go to Startup tab → Open Task Manager → Disable all startup items
- Restart and check if flickering persists
