I will never buy an HP again based off this interaction. On March 10, my new omen pc crashed while I was playing WOW in a Lich King TW dungeon (last boss fight). Wouldn’t reboot. I called, they said it was under warranty, send it in. I sent it in immediately. When I finally heard back, they said it was “customer-induced damage”, and showed me a pic of a damaged screen. (Which certainly wasn’t damaged when I had it—there’s no way I could have even played any dungeon with a screen like that picture). So they attached $530 price tag to fix. I kept trying to call them to tell them that screen was in pristine condition but Riyadh the escalation manager said they stand by their repair team. He took off $100, so I agreed to pay because I had no other choice unless I wanted to buy a brand new laptop. Every time I try to contact Riyadh or anyone else, it takes days, sometimes weeks, to hear back. It is now May 25, and I still have no idea when I’ll get my laptop back. I’ve paid—even that took weeks to do because they took so long to answer my email/calls about where to pay for it. Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered.
