HP Pavilion - 15-cs0059nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have purchased 2 monitors that I am connecting to my laptop. One monitor is connected through the HDMI port and the other is connected to the USBC port through use of an HDMI to USBC adapter. The monitor connected to the HDMI port is working fine. The monitor connected to the USBC port is not recognized by the laptop. My laptop specs state this description for my USBC: 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge). I believe DisplayPort 1.2 allows for the USBC to be utilized for a separate display. I have  updated my operating system and all drivers but the laptop still does not recognize the monitor through USBC. Could you please let me know how to solve this problem? Thanks for any help.

Please replace USB-C to HDMI with a compatible USB-C to DP adapter and connect direct, not using HDMI port on monitor. This should help.

Regards.

Thank you for the response and advice. I will obtain the USBC to DP cable that you state and will provide response at that time. However, can you please define "compatible"? I want to make sure to purchase the correct cable. THX
