Is someone able to provide a list of pens which are compatible with this laptop? Will it be compatible with generic pens for capacitive screens which can be found on Amazon?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

After reading your post, I did go through the Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus of your product and found that your computer supports active stylus

However, if your computer model  features a touch screen, it is still compatible with a passive stylus. Passive styluses do not require batteries, do not have any configurable options, and do not use specific pen software.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for the reply.

Are you able to provide a list of compatible HP styluses?

I have tried the HP Pen (1MR94AA) but it isn't compatible.

I have also just tried a passive stylus but it isn't very accurate, so isn't fit for purpose.

I cannot do that as the laptop doesn't have an HP warranty - it was purchased from PC World. Surely it doesn't need a warranty to find out what pens are compatible with it, especially as it may result in HP selling another product?

Could you just provide a compatibility document? I have seen many forum posts with a link to a compatibility document, however it looks like that has been deleted as none of the links work (example -  HP PCs - Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus)

As previously mentioned I am unable to contact support as the machine does not have a warranty.

Is there any way I can talk to them without a warranty, seeing as this isn't really a technical issue and more to do with sales?
