HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0021nr

After finishing a movie, I went to close my laptop as normal. It was dark and I heard a terrible crunch sound. I immediately turned on a light thinking I must have closed my laptop with something in it. However, I found that the plastic that holds the right hinge screws failed, and that the hinge was stuck out of place. It seems this is a way too common issue with these computers. Has any solution been offered? Up until today this has been one of the only electronic purchases I have ever made with absolutely no regrets. Now, after reading online, I fear I will end up regretting this purchase. Please, someone, restore my faith in humanity, and HP.....
