Product: Probook g8
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The screen on the laptop has gone too dark to be used and i have to connect a monitor to see anything..

Updated the BIOS and done a hard reset, still the same..

Any ideas?

which Probook G8 ? 4xx Series or 6xx Series ?

 

is the display dark even if you press F10 to enter in BIOS or only when Windows is running ?

 

if it's dark at BIOS level, It's for sure an hardware problem as at that BIOS the brightness is always at 100%

Yes its dark when I get the BIOS screen up too..

I was hoping it was an issue with an update, as it went dark after the last Windows update went on on Monday morning. Version 21H1
