One of the more interesting solutions I found for this issue was contributed by Riddle_Decipher - HP Support Agent in this thread.
The suggested solution: Update the graphics driver on your computer.

Open Support Home
Enter the name of your device
When the website support page opens, Select (as available) a Category > Topic > Subtopic
For example, select category Software and Drivers (exact wording varies).
