I understand that your computer’s touchscreen is broken and you would like to replace it with a standard screen.(non-touch LCD).
Commendable job hooking up the computer to an external display to check if it works. I looked up the product specifications of the machine and I’m afraid that replacing the existing touchscreen with a standard LCD may not be an option with HP.
I suggest that you check locally to get this resolved.
