Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-cd0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a problem I've seen mentioned plenty but to which I haven't actually seen a reasonable solution.

My laptop (HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-cd0xxx) screen has broken in one corner. More specifically, it has detached and now one of the screws which I presume was supposed to help stop that from happening has fallen out. And all I've done is use the computer in the way for which it was designed: occasionally as a standard laptop, occasionally as a tablet. When I consulted HP's "virtual agent", it suggested that this likely falls under "customer induced damage". I mean... insofar as I didn't just leave it in the box.

I don't know what kind of world we live in if I'm expected to fork out for this to be repaired. Is there another, fairer, option?
