@ugochi11, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your ELAN EZ TouchFilter Code 10 Error!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your ELAN EZ TouchFilter says "code 10 - device cannot start" and your touch screen has stopped working, you may not be able to find the driver directly on the HP website. However, here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Update Drivers via Windows Update:

  • Ensure that your computer is connected to the internet.
  • Click on the Start Menu.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on "Check for updates" and install any available updates.

Use HP Support Assistant to Update Drivers:

  • Open HP Support Assistant by clicking on the Start Menu, then All Apps > HP Help and Support > HP Support Assistant.
  • Click on Check for updates and updates will be listed if they are available.
  • Install any updates related to your touch screen or system drivers.

Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
  • In Device Manager, locate your ELAN EZ TouchFilter under "Human Interface Devices."
  • Right-click on the device and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

Uninstall and Reinstall the Device:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on the ELAN EZ TouchFilter and select "Uninstall device."
  • Restart your computer and Windows should attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
