Spectre Folio
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've only had this notebook since January and I absolutely love it, other than this issue I'm having with the screen and sometimes it overheats.

The very top 1.5 inches and the far right inch of the touchscreen has become glitchy and/or unresponsive to BOTH the Pen that came with it and hand touches.

I have tried enabling/disabling and uninstalling/reinstalling the touchscreen drivers, updating everything I can. Unfortunately, thats as far as my IT skills go.

Should I continue attempting to fix this myself or should I just give it up to more experienced hands and minds?

@lmr906 I recommend running a hardware test on the touchscreen to be sure since it isn't working in the BIOS, please use the below steps to perform the test:

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

  3. On the main menu, click Component Tests.

  4. The Component Tests menu displays.

  5. Touch Screen Test - Quick interactive test to determine if the touch screen is functioning correctly. (This test is currently not available in the Windows version of the hardware diagnostics.)

To run the test, click Touch Screen, and then click Run once.

  6. If the test fail, please capture the 24 character failure ID and revert with the details. and if it passes, we may need to check if a windows program is conflicting with the touchscreen, try checking if it works in safe mode.
