Screen is black

Screen is black. Did graphics driver update. No change. Connect external monitor, that monitor displays but laptop screen remains black.

The same video chip drives both the internal and external monitors, so if the image is OK on the external, that means the screen has failed.

 

You would have to look into getting the screen replaced.

 

We are not able, or permitted, to provide any repair estimates or equipment prices.

I've found those links to be unreliable if you're using Win10 and the new Edge Browser; so if you are, you need to use something else, like FireFox.
