I got this tablet used about 6 months ago. Everything was working well until about 3 months ago when the screen went inexplicably dark. At first I thought it was just a brief malfunction and figured rebooting would fix it. No dice. Ok so the laptop itself is dead (not the battery but the AC plug didn’t help either) but the keyboard would still light up despite the screen not working. Just recently I discovered that if I shined the flashlight of my phone on it I could barely make out the screen and with an USB-HDMI adapter I was able to get my computer to display on my tv. However I’ve tried everything to get the brightness back. I tried using the function keys, I tried updating the BIOS, I even tried rebooting the computer back to factory settings and still nothing seems to work. It didn’t appear that there were drivers that needed updating but I could’ve missed something. I’m wondering if there’s anything else I can try through software or will I have to open it up to see what the problem is? I guess I’m also wondering is this a common issue with this tablet and what methods people took to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
