Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0013dx

I have an HP Spectre x360 and there was an HP pen included with it. The pen has been working fine with my laptop for 3 years. However, since last week it stopped working. So I thought to change the batteries, but this had no effect on it either. There is no help from the HP troubleshooting software regarding the HP pen. Please let me know what I could do to fix this problem.
