HP HP Spectre x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got what I thought was a pen to work with my Spectre x360 15.   The Pen control app says it's not even compatible with my computer and doesn't see the pen at all.   It's the HP Pen 905512-001.

Is this the correct pen for my laptop?  I thought it was. The battery is in correctly. I tapped the screen. It doesn't work in Paint at all. Doesn't  do squat in Windows Ink Workspace either.

Thank you for posting back.

After reading your post, I did go through the Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus of your product and found that your computer model is not supported with an Active pen/stylus.

However, If your model features a touch screen, it is still compatible with a passive stylus. Passive styluses do not require batteries, do not have any configurable options, and do not use specific pen software. Click here: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-pen to shop one from the HP store.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Are there specific units that the pen isn't compatible?  I mean I gather this should be enough information to determine whether or not the pen should be compatible. Did HP make certain Spectre x360 15.6" 2 in 1 computers that were compatible with the pen and some not?
