My touch screen stopped working about 2 months ago after an update and it came back then stopped again. I chechd for testing it in UFEI Bios and it is not listed. How can I get the correct bios and there are no drivers to update, the hid-touch screen driver says it fine. Its been working fine for 2 years. Could the bios been changed?
I downloaded the UFei bios that was on your site but it still didn't show up there. I tried a setup in windows but touch screen isn't working to calibrate.

First off, we need to isolate if the issue is hardware or software related.
For better clarity and to assist you better, please let me know the complete product# of the unit.
Please perform a hard reset first from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01684768
- Then please keep tapping the “ESC” key gently several times as soon as you power up the computer.
- It takes you to the startup menu. Here please tap the F10 key to visit the bios. Then check if the touchscreen works in the bios. If it does not work here the issue is hardware related and the touch sensors are not responding. The unit needs to be serviced.
- To isolate the issue further, please do the hard reset again and keep tapping the “ESC” key again as soon as the machine is powered up. It takes you to the recovery partition. Here please check if the touchscreen works by navigating the different options. Do not perform a recovery. If the touchscreen does not work then the unit needs to be serviced by contacting HP phone support by visiting this link: http://hp.com/contacthp and following the on-screen instructions.
If service options are available for the unit, then the unit can be serviced, otherwise, please contact a local technician like Best Buy or Staples to get the situation corrected. If the touchscreen works in the bios or in F11, then please visit this link for further assistance.
If the issue is software related and nothing works, I request you to backup all your data and restore the computer to original factory settings by performing a complete system recovery from this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03489643 assuming that the operating system is windows 8.
Then visit: http://hp.com/drivers and update the bios, chipset and graphics card drivers and UEFI utility and check if the issue is corrected. Later you could wait to check how it works before upgrading to windows 10 again. After the windows 10 upgrade, please update the chipset and graphics card drivers. Then install the UEFI utility.
