My Laptop specs is as per below image. Issue- my touchpad randomly stiffens and cannot click although the cursor moves and i can still use functions that I can double touch, however the click function just randomly stiffens and the touchpad behaves as if its solid.

Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on. . Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
Run the keyboard or touchpad test.
If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty
Since this happens randomly you might wait for the problem to happen and then reboot and run the UEFI diagnostics
If a hardware problem then you must replace the touchpad.
