Hi,

 

I bought my HP laptop in October 2022 and recently the touchpad has developed a fault. When the left side of the touchpad is pressed it just stays down so the laptop thinks the button is continually pressed (i.e everything is highlighted on screen when I move the cursor around etc). My standard factory warranty expired in October 2023 (two months ago) which is really frustrating. I'd expect a quality brand like HP to be of a better build quality then this. 

 

Does anybody know how I go about getting this fixed - its a hardware issue on the device so I cannot try anything virtually so will have to get it checked out by a professional. Any ideas how much this would cost?
